Straight from the heart of Glasgow, The Lynsey Dolan Band is redefining the contemporary blues scene with their soulful sound and electrifying performances. Fronted by the dynamic Lynsey Dolan—whose commanding voice and masterful songwriting steal the spotlight—the band delivers a refreshing blend of raw emotion and memorable hooks.
Supporting Lynsey’s vision is a powerhouse trio: Gavin Bussey’s accomplished guitar, Ian Fulton’s groove-driven bass, and Calum Wilson’s vibrant drumming, all combine to create a sound that’s as tight as it is exhilarating. Their chemistry shines on stage, making every live performance a magnetic experience.
The band’s latest milestone is the recording of their upcoming 5-track EP, showcasing a bold evolution of their artistry. With tracks ranging from soul-stirring ballads to high-energy anthems, they continue to captivate audiences and critics alike.
Whether playing to packed festival crowds or intimate blues club audiences, The Lynsey Dolan Band is earning a reputation as one of the most exciting acts to emerge from Glasgow. With a growing fan base and more music on the way, they’re a band to watch as they carve their path through the blues world.

Strathaven
Lynsey and her Band treated the Falkirk Blues Club audience to an outstanding evening of music. From the first song it was a masterclass in original songwriting with Lynsey blending her own compositions seamlessly with well-chosen covers from Blues and elsewhere.
The high-level of talent in the Band created a perfect platform for Lynsey’s multi-instrumental talents... The audience were treated to two hours of fantastic talent and all-round ability...

Such a Groovy, Soulful Band!
Lynsey’s luscious vocals ride over
the top to create a sound worthy
of any Memphis Juke Joint …
Emma Wilson
This four-piece Glasgow based band who blended
blues, jazz, country, and Americana, what a terrific set.
Lynsey Dolan has a smoky smooth vocal and
finesse about her musical style, she has such a feel for the songs she sings
and a noted presence on stage. A wonderfully tight band
who played off each other so well, a joy to behold, they have a true connection. Very
entertaining and thoroughly professional, catch them when you can.
Colin Campbell - Edinburgh Blues Club
Great set with detours around Country, Soul and Jazz before coming to the hard stuff:
pure driving Blues. The final number was an amazing rendition of ‘Whipping Post’
with the lead providing the whip and the vocals the pained response, and the audience
loving it. Callander welcomes Soulful Drivers! Let’s hope for a repeat next year and of
course, many more gigs from the band to come!
Callander Jazz and Blues Festival Oct 23
Lynsey Dolan’s sultry, soulful, smoky tones have been compared to Maggie Bell of Stone The
Crows but on I Won’t Bring You Down Lynsey proves that her vocal talent is unique as she
steps even further up to the mark. She makes Janis Jopiln sound like Sally Carr! This begs the
question as to why a band that has backed luminaries such as Lulu and Imelda May does not
have a higher profile. Hopefully, this will change with a new album, Connection, and through
continuing to build up an appreciative fan base
Most bands like to be able to describe themselves as a blues band, a rock band or , if they’ve
got no shame, a jazz band. Next time, you guys are asked, just say, we are a brilliant band that
can play just about anything. A fantastic band.
